Nutribullet is one of the best-known brands in the world for its range of smoothie makers, blenders, and juicers. Their ethos of providing affordable, top-quality, and compact kitchen appliances to the masses aren’t just limited to their coveted blenders.

They now do coffee makers too!

Who are Nutribullet?

Nutribullet is a CapitalBrands company that debuted with the Magic Bullet blender way back in 2003. Since then, they have released various popular blenders, juicers, and smoothie makers such as the famous Nutribullet in 2012. They actually launched a Nutribullet Baby in 2010 which was specifically designed to blend food to a safe consistency for infants to eat, but it was the standard Nutribullet released in 2012 that took the world by storm.

This was dubbed a lifesaver for fitness fanatics that wanted fast, healthy smoothies at their fingertips. Such a versatile, compact, and powerful blender was actually made affordable to the masses. According to Women’s Health, more than 26 million Nutribullets have been sold worldwide!

Nutribullet Coffee Maker

Overview

Whilst Nutribullet is best known for its blenders, the all-new Brew Choice Pod + Carafe maker is a versatile and well-designed machine. It takes a lot to stand out in the coffee maker segment these days, with so many big brands offering new features, designs, and innovations all the time!

But, Nutribullet has gone down the dual brew method route, offering both pod and drip coffee compatibility. Whilst this is certainly not the most creative or feature-driven coffee maker out there, it is certainly a solid choice for a coffee lover that needs reliability and simplicity.

The Nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe is a no-nonsense coffee maker that comes with plenty of accessories and a well-thought-out design, so is perfect if you want an easy-to-use machine that will help you try new brews!

Key Features

There are a number of features that make the Nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe a solid choice, including:

  • 12 Cup Capacity Glass Carafe
  • K-Cup Pod Compatibility
  • Sleek, Simplistic, and Durable Design
  • Light up LED Control Panel
  • Nylon Filter
  • Removable Water Reservoir
  • Predictive BrewSense Technology
  • Recipe Book
  • Digital Clock on Display Screen.

How to Use

Below is a step-by-step guide to how to use the Nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe coffee maker.

For K-Cup Pod Brewing:

Step 1:

First up, plug in the coffee maker and turn it on. This will illuminate the center “Start/Cancel” button

Step 2:

Fill up the removable reservoir at the back of the machine with water. Filter water is preferable, but if you don’t have this, don’t worry.

Step 3:

Remove the nylon mesh coffee basket and black plastic carafe basket with the plunger from the section and add the K-Cup adapter.

Ensure the small latch on the upper left-hand side of the adapter is inserted into the designated hole, so the adapter is locked in securely.

The digital display on the front of the machine will then detect that the pod setting is ready to be used, and light up the Pod options on the left-hand side of the display.

Step 4:

Select the quantity of coffee you would like to brew. The machine gives you a choice between a 6 Oz, 8 Oz, or 10 Oz cup.

Step 5:

Next, insert your K-Cup coffee pod and close the latch.

If you would like your coffee cup to be closer to the dispenser nozzle, you can use the mug stand (a metallic stand with handy drip holes in it), which is provided with the machine.

The machine actually comes with a reusable K-Cup pod with a built-in mesh filter too. This can be filled with your own ground coffee, then washed and reused when you are done brewing!

Step 6:

Finally, you are ready to start brewing!

Go ahead and press start, remembering to place your favorite mug or travel mug under the dispenser nozzle. You can then enjoy your freshly brewed cup of coffee, but remember to clean your machine before you use it again!

For Drip Coffee Carafe Brewing:

Step 1:

First up, plug in the coffee maker and turn it on. This will illuminate the center “Start/Cancel” button

Step 2:

Fill up the removable reservoir at the back of the machine with water. Filter water is preferable, but if you don’t have this, don’t worry.

Step 3:

The machine will automatically detect that the carafe and filter basket is inserted into the brewing compartment, so will light up the Carafe brew options on the right-hand side of the display screen.

You can then choose between a 6-cup, 9-cup, or 12-cup brew.

Step 4:

Next, use the black coffee scoop supplied with the coffee maker to add ground coffee to the basket.

The scoop itself has a helpful guide on the handle which indicates how many scoops of ground coffee are needed per serving size.

Step 5:

Pop up the black latch on the top of the machine to open the coffee grounds’ reusable nylon mesh basket.

Alternatively, you could use the solid black plastic tray and add your own paper filter.

Either way, I recommend using a high-quality medium to coarse grind size for drip brew coffee. Put the lid back down so it clicks into place, and you’re good to go!

Step 6:

Time to brew! Simply insert the carafe, ensuring the lid is on. Then, press start and watch it rain!

You can stop the brew whenever you want by simply pressing the cancel button.

Be careful of the hot plate that sits underneath the carafe itself. This will stay on for 2 hours automatically, or until the machine is turned off.

Should You Buy the Nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe

If you are looking for an easy-to-use, intuitive, and fuss-free coffee maker that can support both drip brew and K-Cup pod coffee, then the Nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe coffee maker is a solid choice.

It is by no means the most high-tech coffee maker out there. It isn’t programmable, doesn’t make specialty coffee, and is made simply from plastic.

However, at $100 it is not a particularly expensive coffee maker. What’s more, the dual-choice coffee brewing facilities make it more versatile than most basic coffee makers.

If the quality of their blenders is anything to go by, you can trust that the Nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe is a solid buy and will last hundreds of brews!

Summary

Overall, the Nutribullet Brew Choice Pod + Carafe coffee maker is indeed a good option for those searching for a simple, well-made, and fuss-free coffee machine.
